ULTEVIS

Ultevis is a mountain range with a 25 km long manganese mineralization. In the area there are also pegmatites with beryl and topaz. Sör Hårås, Juoråive, Stuor Njuoskes are some of the specific points of interest in this area. |

This district have been subject to a large number of surveys: boulder tracing, geological mapping, geophysical survey, geochemical sampling. Geology: Volcanic rocks with pegmatites. |

History: In 1935, a boulder found in Palgejaure close to Murjek, caused a boulder tracing for manganese. In 1943, SGU found a manganese mineralisation in Ultevis, 135 km from the place where the first boulder was found. |
